New Sacramento takeout restaurant serves up noodle bowls, spring rolls. See where and when
A new takeout restaurant is now open in downtown Sacramento, focusing on “foods and flavors representative of the Asian-American experience.”
Buddha Bowls and Rolls is taking orders at 801 14th St. Suite B, the eatery announced on social media.
It’s open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
It neighbors Buckhorn BBQ & Grill, Goodside Coffee and Bear Dive in the Mansion Flats neighborhood.
What’s on the menu at new Sacramento takeout restaurant?
Buddha Bowls and Rolls’ menu features build-your-own options for spring rolls, sandwiches, and noodle and rice bowls allowing you to choose your protein, sauces and sides.
For example, the Big Buddha sandwich — inspired by the Vietnamese banh mi — comes with pickled carrots and daikon, cucumber, jalapenos and cilantro.
You can choose from protein options ranging from char-grilled pork to smoked-five spice chicken teriyaki. Sauce options include sriracha mayo or Thai basil aioli.
Sandwich prices starts at $10.
Other protein options include crispy tofu, lemongrass tri tip and grilled Koji shrimp.
Noodle and rice bowls start at $12.75, while you can get two spring rolls for $9.
The restaurant also serves freshly squeezed sugarcane juice for $6.50 and fruit juices for $6.75. It has classic Vietnamese iced coffee for $6.50 and an egg creme iced coffee for $7, as well as matcha lattes and Thai tea starting at $6.50.
