Restaurant chain with vegan options opens third location in Sacramento area. Here’s where
A health-conscious restaurant chain recently opened its third location in the Sacramento area.
Green Grill opened at 1020 16th St., Suite 17, in midtown Sacramento on May 15, the fast-casual eatery announced on its Instagram page.
Green Grill also has locations in Granite Bay and Rancho Cordova.
Who’s behind new Sacramento restaurant?
Rajbir Randhawa is the owner and founder of Green Grill, which was formerly called Baagan.
The eatery was renamed for easier pronunciation, according to its website.
Randhawa was a software developer before getting into the restaurant industry.
Due to health complications, Randhawa studied natural foods, such as plant-based recipes and organic ingredients, the website said.
“After seeing her own transformation, it inspired her to create healthy recipes to help others. Rajbir now has more than 12 years of experience in the industry,” operators said on the website. “Through Baagan restaurant, Rajbir has promoted clean eating and healthy living by offering food that’s mostly plant-based, mostly gluten-free and organic.”
What’s on the menu at Green Grill?

The menu, as seen on Yelp, includes an oyster mushroom burger and mushroom chana burger made with a sprouted chickpea patty.
Other food options include chicken or vegetable tikka masala and salads.
