Ebony Alert deactivated after authorities locate Northern California 16-year-old

Missing person found

An Ebony Alert for a missing 16-year-old, last seen in Vacaville, was deactivated Saturday after authorities said she was located.

The California Highway Patrol issued the alert late Friday for the girl, who was last seen with a 23-year-old man. The CHP said the “subject has been located,” but offered no additional information.

The CHP activated the Ebony Alert on behalf of the Solano County Sheriff’s Office. These alerts, which went into effect this year in California, alert the public to the “suspicious or unexplainable disappearance” of a Black youth between ages 12 and 25, according to the CHP.
