Man riding bike struck and killed by vehicle in North Sacramento, police say

A male bicyclist died Saturday night after a collision with a vehicle in the Robla neighborhood of North Sacramento, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Officers arrived around 11:30 p.m. at Marysville Avenue and Main Boulevard and found the bicyclist dead. The vehicle driver had fled before police arrived but was found a short distance away. The driver displayed signs of intoxication, according to a Sacramento police news release.

The incident remains under investigation, officers said.
