Sacramento suburb is getting a second Trader Joe’s. Here’s where and when it’s opening
Trader Joe’s is opening a second store in a popular Sacramento suburb.
The new grocery store will celebrate its grand opening at 10261 Fairway Drive in Roseville on Thursday, Oct. 31, according to a company news release.
The supermarket is less than 4 miles away from Trader Joe’s nearest location, The Sacramento Bee previously reported.

What is Trader Joe’s?
Headquartered in Monrovia, Trader Joe’s is a national chain of grocery stores committed to providing customers “the best quality products at the best everyday prices,” the company said the release, along with a “welcoming, rewarding shopping experience.”
Products range from everyday staples including milk, eggs and bananas to signature frozen foods and snacks such as mandarin orange chicken and dark chocolate peanut butter cups.
Trader Joe’s has roughly 600 locations across the United States, including more than 200 in California.
USA Today readers recently voted Trader Joe’s one of the top 10 grocery stores in the United States in 2024, based on value, selection and service.
The California company landed at No. 8 on the list.
Where is new Trader Joe’s store in Sacramento area?
Trader Joe’s newest Sacramento-area store is at the intersection of Fairway Drive and Pleasant Grove Boulevard in Roseville.
The 10,000-square-foot grocery store is next to Big Lots in the Fairway Commons shopping area, in a space previously occupied by 99 Cents Only.
Trader Joe’s hired more than 60 employees from surrounding areas to staff the new store and transferred in 25 more from neighboring Trader Joe’s stores, the release said.
The Fairway Drive supermarket is the second Trader Joe’s store to open in Roseville, The Sacramento Bee previously reported.
The chain’s other Roseville location is at 1117 Roseville Square, in the Folsom Road neighborhood.
When will new Roseville supermarket open?
According to Trader Joe’s, there will be a “brief ribbon cutting ceremony” at its new Roseville supermarket at 7:55 a.m. Thursday before the store officially opens for business.
There will also be live music and giveaways, Trader Joe’s said.
The store will be open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
