A bicyclist died late Tuesday night after a collision with a vehicle in Roseville, police said.

Officers were called to Douglas and Harding boulevards about 3:30 p.m. for a report of a major injury accident, said Lt. Chris Ciampa, a spokesman with the Roseville Police Department.

The crash between a vehicle and a bicyclist prompted road closures as officers investigated. The bicyclist, a man, was taken to the hospital with major injuries but soon died.

“The bicyclist was at fault for the collision,” Ciampa said.

The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities, Ciampa said.
