Sacramento’s annual Run to Feed the Hungry: Which roads will be closed on Thanksgiving?

More than 28,000 runners will race through Sacramento on Thanksgiving Day for the Run to Feed the Hungry.

The annual event, which benefits the Sacramento Food Bank, features 5-kilometer and 10-kilometer runs.

Organizers said the race will kick off soon after 8 a.m. and wrap up by 11 a.m.

The Run to Feed the Hungry race begins and ends near the west edge of Sacramento State’s campus.

The starting line is on J Street near Carlson Drive. Runners will finish a few blocks away, on H Street near Elvas Avenue.

East Sacramento residents should avoid driving that morning and park cars in their driveways or outside of the race route, event organizers said.

Here’s which roads will be impacted by the race.
