1 person dead after two-vehicle crash in Yolo County, CHP officials say
One person died in a crash Wednesday morning on Highway 16 in Yolo County, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The two-vehicle crash took place just before 10:15 a.m. on Highway 16 near County Road 18, said Officer Rodney Fitzhugh, a spokesperson for the CHP’s Woodland office. Officers responded for a major-injury crash, but the victim later died, he said.
The crash remains under investigation by the CHP, but Fitzhugh said drugs and alcohol are not suspected as factors.
