Getting sick of rain in Sacramento? Here’s when sunshine could return to the region
Sick of rain? After several days of damp weather, the Sacramento area could see some sunshine soon, according to the National Weather Service.
“Precipitation is spreading across interior (Northern California),” the weather service said in an X post on Monday, Dec. 16.
“Make sure to slow down and drive safely on wet roads,” the agency said.

What’s the weather in Sacramento this week?
After widespread overnight fog in the central Sacramento Valley, Sacramento was expected to see some rain on Monday, according to the weather agency’s latest seven-day forecast.
There’s a 90% chance of showers on Monday, mainly before 4 p.m. Rainfall amounts could reach between a 10th and a quarter of an inch.
The high temperature was expected to reach 50 degrees with southeast winds around 6 mph.
Widespread dense fog is expected Monday night into early Tuesday morning, mainly before 2 a.m., along with mostly cloudy skies, calm winds and a low temperature of 44 degrees, the forecast said.
Mostly cloudy skies will continue into Tuesday, the weather agency predicted, but the sky will eventually clear to let in some sunshine.
Tuesday will have a high of 58 and an overnight low of 42.
When will we see sunshine in Sacramento?
According to the forecast, Wednesday will be partly sunny with a high near 55.
The temperature will dip to 41 on a mostly cloudy Wednesday night.
Thursday will be mostly sunny with a high near 57 and a low of 42, with partly cloudy skies overnight.

It will likely rain later in the week, according to the weather service.
Friday will be mostly cloudy with a high near 59 and a low around 46.
There’s a chance of showers after 4 a.m. Saturday, the forecast said.
