This Sikh festival’s parade in Sacramento County will cause road closures. Here’s where
Sacramento County officials announced rolling road closures this Sunday for the third annual Holla Mahalla Nagar Kirtan Parade hosted by the Sacramento Sikh Society in Vineyard.
The parade is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., beginning and ending at the Sacramento Gurdwara at 7676 Bradshaw Road. The route will move south on Bradshaw Road toward Vintage Park Drive, continue east on Elk Grove Florin Road, and return via Gerber Road.
The county’s Department of Transportation said lane closures would affect both directions on Bradshaw, Vintage Park, Elk Grove Florin and Gerber. Traffic delays are expected throughout the day.
“We warmly request all Saadh Sangat to join us with their family and friends,” Sikh leaders posted on the Gurdwara’s Facebook page.
County officials advised motorists to use alternate routes. Detour signs will be posted.
