How much does it cost to see A’s play in West Sacramento? Tickets, parking and more

Every sports fan knows spending money does not end at the ticket booth.

Fans are bound to shell out more cash for parking, food and drink and team merchandise, all at premium stadium prices.

On Monday night, Athletics fans flocked to Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento to watch the MLB team’s first game in its new home. The A’s lost 18-3 against the Chicago Cubs.

Monday’s game marked the start of a three-game series against the Cubs, with games scheduled for Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon. The A’s saw losses in its first two games in the series, with the Cubs defeating the home team 7-4 on Tuesday.

If you’re hoping to catch an A’s game this season, here’s how much you can expect to shell out:

What are ticket prices for A’s games?

Ticket prices for A’s games vary by date and opponent.

As of Tuesday afternoon, tickets for Wednesday night’s game against the Cubs ranged from $77.20 for a spot on the lawn to $277.20 for a seat in Solon Club seating in the 200s.

Seats in the box section in the 100s ranged in price from $117.20 to $167.20.

The A’s will host the San Francisco Giants in a three-game series on July 4, 5 and 6.

Tickets for the Independence Day and July 5 games were sold out as of Tuesday, but tickets for the July 6 game were still available.

The cheapest option available to see the two Northern California baseball teams play in West Sacramento cost $142.20 as of Tuesday. It was in a 100s-section

All ticket prices listed on the A’s website include “per ticket” and “per order” fees totaling $12.20.

The team is also offering a $25 lawn ticket deal for every home game of the season. Those go on sale at 9 a.m. on each home game day.

How much does parking cost in West Sacramento?

According to previous Sacramento Bee reporting, there are five “preferred” options for prepaid parking near Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento:

  • Green Lot, Market Street and Fifth Street

  • Gold Lot, 804 Riverfront St.

  • Main Lot, 400 Ballpark Drive

  • Black Lot, 920 Fifth St.

  • Ziggurat Garage, 601 Third St.

A’s season pass holders can purchase a parking permit for one of the lots that they can use on game days throughout the season, The Bee previously reported.

Single-day ticket holders can pay for parking ahead of any game of the season via the ACE Parking website.

  • Green Lot: $40

  • Gold Lot: $35

  • Main Lot: $30

  • Black Lot: $30

  • Ziggurat Garage: $25

What are food and drink prices at Sutter Health Park?

As of Tuesday, there were eight main food and beverage options at Sutter Health Park, as well as various portable stands and carts offering classic ballpark snacks, according to the A’s website.

Here’s how food and drink prices broke down at a food stand at the ballpark on Monday:

  • Chicken tinga or beef barbacoa tacos or burrito: $13
  • Hot dog: $7
  • Veggie hot dog: $9
  • Salad: $15
  • Churro: $8
  • Chips and cheese: $9
  • Popcorn: $9
  • Peanuts: $7
  • Cracker Jacks: $7
  • Bottled water: $8
  • Fountain soda: $7

What can I expect to pay for A’s merchandise?

Being decked out in green and gold at Sutter Health Park can quickly add up in price.

The On-Deck Shop at the A’s stadium is open during game days for fans looking to represent the team.

On game days, the store is open once stadium doors open, according to the A’s website.

Fans attending night games can visit the store before doors open, from noon to 4 p.m.

The availability and prices of the listed items may differ in the ballpark.

Foam fingers were also available at the stadium on Monday, costing $10 apiece.
