Roadway fatality

A motorcyclist fell to his death Tuesday night after he collided with a car on a Sacramento freeway connector, said the California Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist was identified by Sacramento County Coroner’s officials as Shaun Wayne Sutterfield, 50, of Sacramento. Sutterfield was riding south on Interstate 5 to the Highway 50 connector road when the wreck happened about 8:30 p.m., officials at the California Highway Patrol’s South Sacramento office said Wednesday. The force of the collision threw him off the freeway ramp and onto Front Street and Broadway where he died.

The driver of the car was not hurt in the wreck.
