An Amazon worker was rescued Saturday after becoming stranded on machinery at a fulfillment center, according to the Sacramento Fire Department.

Firefighters were called about 9 a.m. to the center at 4930 Allbaugh Drive for a rescue, said Capt. Justin Sylvia, a Fire Department spokesperson.

A woman in her 20s got stuck on an “order picker” before she was safely brought to the ground, Sylvia said. She suffered a minor medical issue, he said.

The warehouse at Metro Air Park has more than 1 million square feet, according to The Sacramento Bee’s previous reporting.
