Pedestrian dies at hospital after being struck by car in south Sacramento
A man died Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a Chevrolet car in south Sacramento, authorities said.
The car was being driven by a woman when it collided with the pedestrian in the 5100 block of Stockton Boulevard, according to Officer Anthony Gamble, a spokesperson for the Sacramento Police Department. Officers responded to the incident shortly before 12:45 p.m. and brought the pedestrian to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Gamble said.
The woman driving the vehicle cooperated with investigators on the scene, Gamble said. He said he did not know whether the Chevy was carrying passengers besides its driver.
