Another Mayweather Boxing and Fitness location closes in Sacramento County
Mayweather Boxing and Fitness has abruptly closed its doors at its Folsom location.
The gym studio located inside Folsom’s Broadstone Marketplace shopping plaza at 2750 E. Bidwell St., Suite 150, has closed for good, according to Bob Shahlaie, of GQNorth Property Manangement who listed the property for lease.
The phone number listed for the Folsom location is no longer available for use. Shahlaie said he was not sure of the reason behind the fitness studio’s closure.
“If anyone is interested in leasing they can give me a call,” Shahlaie said.
The gym’s closure was first reported by the Sacramento Business Journal.
It was first announced by Fox 40 that Folsom would get a Mayweather Boxing and Fitness studio in 2019, after Sunni Dharni Jr. signed a 10-site deal opening gyms throughout the Sacramento region. The Folsom studio underwent an ownership change in July 2024, according to the Folsom Times.
Dharni had a Mayweather Boxing and Fitness Elk Grove location close in May 2024 due to $30,672 in unpaid rent, according to previous Bee reporting.
Only one Mayweather Boxing and Fitness remains in the Sacramento area, which is located at 8300 Delta Shores Circle South, Suite 140, in Sacramento’s Meadowview neighborhood.
