The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office on Tuesday asked the public to help identify a man found dead last month in a residential neighborhood near a small Rancho Cordova park.
The unidentified man was found Aug. 15 on the west side of Aramon Drive near Chassella Way in Rancho Cordova, coroner officials said in a news release. The man’s body was found near Federspiel Park.
Coroner officials said the man, who appeared to be 44 to 55 years old, was found fully clothed and lying on his right side in the dirt next to a sidewalk.
He was described as 5-foot-10 and weighing about 200 pounds with thick medium-length brown hair. He had a gray and brown mustache and beard.
Coroner officials said he had tattoos including a star on his left elbow and praying hands with what appeared to be the letters “m j f” underneath on his left upper back. He also had a tattoo on his right bicep with the name “Mike” and underneath a tattoo of a cross with an ornamental design around the cross.
The Coroner’s Office released a sketch of the deceased man, hoping family, friends or others who knew him might recognize him and contact authorities.
Officials asked anyone who recognizes the unidentified man or has information about him to call the Coroner’s Office at 916-874-9320 or send an email to DeputyCoroner@saccounty.gov.
