Pedestrian fatally struck by car in Roseville intersection, police say

Pedestrian fatality

A pedestrian died early Thursday after being struck by a car in a Roseville intersection.

The fatal collision happened about 6 a.m. at Douglas Boulevard and King Road, according to Roseville Police Department officials.

A major accident team responded and closed the roadway, which reopened around noon, police said.

The pedestrian, described only as an adult, had not been identified by the Placer County Sheriff’s Office coroner division.

Police said the driver remained at the scene and called 911. Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors.
