Aftershock 2025 in Sacramento: Lineup, tickets, parking, banned items & more

Popular musical festival Aftershock is bringing the bass back to Sacramento with a packed concert lineup.
Advertised as the West Coast’s largest rock, punk and metal festival, the four-day outdoor music festival features more than 115 bands performing live on four stages.
This year’s headliners include Blink-182, Deftones, Korn and Bring Me The Horizon.
Here’s what to know:
When is Aftershock music festival in 2025? Where?
Coming back for the 13th year, Aftershock runs from Thursday, Oct. 2, to Sunday, Oct. 5.
Aftershock is held at Discovery Park, 1000 Garden Highway in Sacramento. The 302-acre park is adjacent to Interstate 5 on the American River Parkway.
Gates open between 11 a.m. and noon daily.
The music starts at 11:10 a.m. daily and the final performances end at 10 p.m. each day.

Kicking off the 2025 Aftershock concert lineup on Thursday are pop-punk band Blink-182 and alternative/indie band All Time Low.
Friday’s headliners include alternative metal band Deftones and rock band Turnstile.
Nu metal band Korn and progressive metal band Gojira will headline Saturday’s concert lineup, and metal band Bring Me The Horizon and industrial metal rocker Marilyn Manson will take the stage as headliners Sunday.
Other big-name acts performing at the 2025 festival include Taking Back Sunday, Knocked Loose, All American Rejects, Lamb of God and Black Veil Brides.

Can I still buy tickets to Aftershock?
Yes. Single-day tickets and multi-day passes were still available as of Monday, Sept. 29.
General admission for all four days costs $577 to $2,137.30, including fees.
Single-day tickets cost between $206 to $217.50, fees included depending on the day apiece, via the Aftershock website.
VIP tickets for all four days are still available for purchase for $357.44, fees included.
Where can I stay? See hotels near Discovery Park
Aftershock offers hotel packages starting at $1,165 per person.
Depending on the package selected packages can include three to five night stay at a hotel of your choice and an exclusive access to Wednesday welcome party that includes free mini golf and light bites. Other packages include a festival merch voucher and a four day general admission or VIP ticket for Aftershock.
Hotels near Discovery Park include Courtyard by Marriott Sacramento Airport Natomas for $399 a night starting on Thursday, Oct 2 and SureStay Plus by Best Western Sacramento North for $249 to $510 a night, as of Monday, Sept. 29.
Where can I park for Aftershock?
On-site parking isn’t available at Discovery Park for the festival and no camping is allowed.
Instead, eventgoers are encouraged to use the Park & Ride shuttle program. You can park your car at Cal Expo, 1600 Exposition Blvd. in Sacramento, and take a shuttle to and from the park.
Park & Ride Shuttle passes cost about $47.77 per day, including fees, or $143.33 for all four days.
Each Park & Ride Shuttle Pass includes free parking for your vehicle at Cal Expo, 1600 Exposition Blvd. in Sacramento, and nonstop shuttle rides to and from the festival site.
On festival days, shuttles will begin service approximately 60 minutes prior to the gate opening time.
Limited paid parking options is designated lots surrounding the park are available in advance and day of show until sold out.
Parking lots are accessible via the intersections of Truxel Road and Mill Creek Drive or West El Camino Avenue and Natomas Park Drive. All lots open at 10 a.m. daily and are an approximately 20 minute walk to Discovery Park.
Other ways to get to Discovery Park include riding Sacramento Regional Transit buses and using taxis or rideshare apps.
You can also ride your bicycle, skateboard or scooter to Discovery Park, which is along the Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail. There will be free bike valet service near the Jibboom Street entrance.
What can I bring into the park? What’s banned?
Discovery Park has strict rules governing what eventgoers can and cannot bring to the park.
No large bags, backpacks or duffle bags are allowed at the park.
You can, however, bring the following:
- Clear backpacks measuring 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches
- Clear drawstring backs 16 inches by 13 inches
- 1-gallon plastic storage bags
- Clear tote bags that are 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches
- Solid color or clear fanny packs that are 7.5 inches by 4.1 inches by 2.6 inches
- Small bags and purses sized 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches
Prohibited items include outside food and drinks, as well as chairs, strollers, coolers and audio and video recording equipment.
No drugs, weapons, fireworks or explosives are allowed.
Don’t bring drones, laser pointers, confetti, balloons, beach balls, whistles, air horns, musical instruments or walkie-talkies either.
Pets should stay at home but service animals are OK.
Be sure to bring your credit or debit cards, because the festival is cashless.
Don’t want to carry around your stuff? You could rent a locker for $25 to $85.
