Sacramento-area residents don’t have to travel far to experience the nation’s best escape room, according to USA Today readers.
The publication recently ranked the top 10 escape rooms in the United States in 2025, searching for attractions where you can “unleash your inner detective.”
“There are thousands of escape rooms across the United States, immersing players in adventures that range from escaping laboratories to pulling off the ultimate heist,” USA Today said in an Oct. 1 news release. “Whether you’re looking for a fun outing with friends or doing some team building, escape rooms are a great way to test your skills and have a blast at the same time.”

What Sacramento-area escape room is best in the nation?
Enchambered, 2230 Arden Way, Suite C, in Arden Arcade, was the No. 1 escape room in the nation in 2025, according to USA Today.
Teams of three to 12 people are locked into a “custom-built, challenging and entertaining environment,” Enchambered said on its website.
Patrons can choose from a total of five rooms with their own themes, stories and challenges.
For instance, you can try to solve the mystery of the missing scientist, escape the terrifying Skull Witch or help Patches the bear build a toy in a more child-friendly adventure, according to the Enchambered website.
“We always believe that to truly enjoy a themed experience is to have it driven by a story,” company representatives said on the Enchambered website. “We work tirelessly to add a narrative to each of our game spaces.”

Enchambered is open daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
You can book an experience at the Sacramento-area escape room for $35 to $40 per person.
The minimum number of players required depends on which adventure you choose.
