Coroner’s Office identifies man hit and killed on 160 freeway in North Sacramento

A man who died Wednesday after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 160 in North Sacramento has been identified as 36-year-old David Paul Bledsoe, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

The collision occurred shortly after 12:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes near Royal Oaks Drive, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Officer Justin Fetterly, spokesperson for the CHP’s North Sacramento office, said Bledsoe was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.

Investigators are still determining the circumstances that led to the crash.
