Motorcyclist dies in morning crash on Rocky Ridge Drive, Roseville police say

A motorcyclist died early Tuesday after a crash with a vehicle in Roseville, police said.

The collision occurred just before 7 a.m. on Rocky Ridge Drive near Johnson Ranch Drive. Roseville police officers responded and confirmed the motorcyclist died at the scene.

All lanes of Rocky Ridge Drive between Loretto Drive and Maidu Drive remained closed Tuesday morning as the Police Department’s accident team processed the site. Officials said the closure could last for several hours.

Sgt. Nick Gaines, a spokesperson for the department, said officers were investigating whether drugs or alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

Police urged drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes. Nearby Maidu Elementary School is not in session due to the Thanksgiving holiday break.
