A lucky Cache Creek Casino Resort gambler near Sacramento hit an “incredible” slot machine jackpot on a $25 bet, officials said.

The gambler was playing a “Dragon Link Panda Magic” machine in the high-limit room at the casino and hit the $236,540.93 progressive jackpot on Sunday, Jan. 11, the casino said.

“This incredible jackpot is exactly the kind of thrilling experience we love to see for our guests,” said Kari Stout-Smith, general manager of the casino.

Cache Creek Casino Resort, owned by the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, is nearly 40 miles northwest of Sacramento, near Esparto. The casino opened in 2004 and features more than 2,700 slot machines and 120 table games.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
