Two pedestrians killed in separate Sacramento County traffic incidents, coroner says

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office reported two pedestrians were killed Friday in separate collisions.

A 28-year-old man was hit by a vehicle in the southbound lane of the Capital City Freeway north of El Camino Avenue.

That same day, a 77-year-old man was fatally struck by a vehicle in the eastbound lane of Florin Road, according to the Coroner’s Office, east of Florin Perkins Road in south Sacramento.

Neither victim’s name had been released by the coroner as of early Saturday afternoon.

Nearly 80 people have died in Sacramento County so far this year from traffic incidents, according to data the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office, of whom more than 25 have been pedestrians.
