Elk Grove motor officer injured after collision near Kerr Middle School

An Elk Grove Police Department motor officer was injured in a collision with another vehicle Tuesday afternoon, according to the department.

The collision occurred in front of Kerr Middle School on Elk Grove Boulevard around 12:30 p.m., according to a Facebook post from the department. The officer was taken to a hospital for treatment.

No other injuries were reported.

Authorities have not released details about what led to the collision. Elk Grove Boulevard reopened after the collision.
