Pedestrian dies, hit by vehicle near Stockton Boulevard, Sacramento coroner says
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office reports a pedestrian died Saturday after being hit by a vehicle.
A vehicle hit the man Friday at the intersection of 48th Avenue and Stockton Boulevard in south Sacramento County, just outside city limits, according to the coroner’s website.
The man was unhoused, according to the Coroner’s Office. His age and identity were not released.
Saturday’s death comes after another unhoused person died May 27 after being hit by a vehicle on Stockton Boulevard near Fruitridge Road, according to the Coroner’s Office.
As of midday Saturday, the Coroner’s Office had reported five motor vehicle accident deaths countywide so far this month. The five deaths include one driver, one bicyclist, one pedestrian and two passengers.
