The National Weather Service notes that there have been no widespread cold spells this season in Northern California.

Winter begins on Sunday without a hint of frost in the air. A steady march of storms with clouds keeping the lid on earth’s heat have helped to moderate temperatures.

Here are the lowest temperatures this fall through Wednesday for select Northern California spots:

Shasta Dam: 40 degrees

Redding Airport: 29

Red Bluff: 33
