Good morning. Here’s what you need to know today:

Al fresco weather: Partly sunny skies are forecast in Sacramento on Thursday, providing inviting conditions for getting out for lunch. It may even be sunny enough at noon to sit outside at the local café. The high today in Sacramento is expected to be 61 degrees with just a hint of a breeze.

$800 million club: The Sacramento Kings sold for an NBA-record $534 million two years ago, but the $2 billion sale of the Clippers last year, and a huge new TV contract, have elevated all franchise values. Forbes magazine, in its annual estimates, says the Kings are now worth $800 million.

Investigation prompts firings: The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection said it fired two firefighters and another resigned Wednesday in a $2 million investigation of allegations of sexual misconduct at the Ione fire academy. The agency says none of the sex allegations were found to be true, but that a total of 16 were disciplined for dishonesty, misuse of state equipment and other violations discovered during probe.

ATMs stolen: Sacramento police seek information regarding a series of ATM burglaries that occurred over several months last year.

Inside Business: East Sacramento will be losing a retail institution on Sunday as the House of Fashion Bridal Salon & Tuxedos closes after nearly 55 years of business at 3801 J St., writes Bee columnist Cathie Anderson. The Yagi-Murai family is consolidating remaining inventory into their larger store at 21st and J streets in midtown.

Brooklyn nets win: The Sacramento Kings lost their fifth consecutive game, falling 103-100 Wednesday night to the visiting Brooklyn Nets.
