Good morning. Here’s what you need to know today:

Above normal daytime temperatures are predicted through the next 7 days for Sacramento.

Insurance deadline nears: Midnight Sunday is the deadline to enroll for health insurance through the state’s insurance exchange, Covered California. Officials are hoping for a last-minute rush in which tens of thousands of uninsured Californians will choose to sign up.

Homicide suspect sought: Authorities have identified the victim’s boyfriend as the prime suspect in the November homicide of an Elk Grove mother of two. Elk Grove police officials are asking for the public’s help in finding Moses Valdez, 38, who is a validated gang member with an extensive criminal history and the prime suspect in the murder of Marissa Pineda de Almanza, 37.

Portal to the past: The Sacramento Genealogical Society’s Root Cellar members will share their family heirlooms and family history displays during a program from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. today at Christ Community Church, 5025 Manzanita Ave., Carmichael.
