Q: There was a shooting off Stevenson Avenue in Sacramento and a garbage man found the body later that morning. Were there any arrests in the case?

SQ, Sacramento

A: The body off 44-year-old Amando Gonzales of Sacramento was found Sept. 9 in a vehicle in the 7900 block of Spring Garden Way in south Sacramento County.

Sacramento County sheriff’s spokeswoman Sgt. Lisa Bowman said no arrests have been made and the case is still under investigation.

According to stories in The Sacramento Bee, deputies responded about 11 a.m. to a report of shots fired near Golden Meadow Drive and Stevenson Avenue. They found bullet casings at that location, but no victim.

About 45 minutes later, a waste management employee called authorities after seeing a man slumped over in a damaged vehicle partially in the roadway near the 8000 block of Spring Garden Way, less than a mile from the spot where the shots had been reported.
