Porche Wright, the Sacramento woman suspected of setting fire to her 7-year-old daughter after dousing her with gasoline, will return to Sacramento Superior Court April 30, after attorneys Wednesday asked to delay her hearing.
Wright, 27, faces attempted murder and aggravated mayhem charges connected to the April 4 incident at Wright's El Camino Avenue duplex.
Wright was arrested April 4 by Sacramento police after a family friend saw the child's burns and called authorities, police officials said. Wright has a history of abuse charges, according to court records, and earlier this year had completed a batterer's treatment program, records show.
Wright remains held without bail in Sacramento County custody.
