Lincoln police release more information, photos of bank robbery suspect
Police have released new photos of the man they say robbed a Lincoln bank earlier this week.
About 4 p.m. Tuesday, the man walked into a Safeway store on Lincoln Boulevard and handed a US Bank teller a note demanding money and saying he had a gun. He then fled, according to a Lincoln Police Department news release.
Security cameras outside the store captured the man in faded, dark blue jeans, a set of keys dangling from his belt on the right side and shoes that appeared to be Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars.
Previously released footage from inside the Safeway identified him as a white man in his mid- to late 20s with brown hair, a mustache and a goatee. He was wearing a dark gray jacket and a silver-and-black Oakland Raiders baseball cap. No gun was seen in either set of photos.
Another possible suspect was described in the news release as a white man in his 20s, standing about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing baggy gray sweatpants, a maroon hooded sweatshirt and a backward baseball cap.
Lincoln police are asking anyone who recognizes either man to call the department at 916-645-4040.
