Missing at-risk Arden Arcade man found safe

Miguel Melendez-Galindo was safely found overnight after he went missing Thursday evening, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department announced early Friday morning.

When Melendez-Galindo’s mother arrived at his home in the 800 block of Fulton Avenue on Thursday, she “found circumstances inconsistent with his normal living conditions,” according to a Sheriff’s Department news release distributed Thursday night. He had last contacted his family about 7:20 p.m.

Investigators believed Melendez-Galindo, 26, was at-risk due to the circumstances surrounding his disappearance. No one who spoke with the Sheriff’s Department knew what clothes he had been wearing that day, and all his vehicles were accounted for after he left the house.
