Two men were arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of 51-year-old Jeffrey Turner in November, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department said Saturday.
Julius Hargrove, 24, of Sacramento, was arrested in Las Vegas and booked into the Sacramento County Jail on Thursday. Frank McCormick, 47, of Elverta, was arrested Saturday. Both men are being held without bail.
Turner, of Sacramento, was discovered Nov. 20 after a passing motorist notified authorities that there was an unresponsive male along a roadway in the rural section of north Sacramento County.
Deputies and Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department personnel dispatched to Kasser Road west of Tan Woods Road pronounced Turner dead at the scene. Authorities initially regarded the death as suspicious, before investigating it as a homicide.
