The death of a pregnant woman whose body was found inside her car in December has been ruled a suicide by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

Aubrey Andrews, 20, had been missing for more than a week when her body was found in her car parked near the 8400 block of Elk Grove Boulevard in Elk Grove, about 4 miles from her home.

Sacramento police reported in December that Andrews was believed to have been distraught when she drove away from her home in a white Toyota Prius. Sacramento police said when they found the body that there were no obvious signs of foul play.

The resulting coroner’s investigation revealed that Andrews suffocated herself with a bag. Andrews was nine months pregnant when she died.
