A Rocklin High School student was arrested Friday after Rocklin Police Department officers said he brought a firearm to campus.

Rocklin High School administrators received reports of a student with a firearm on Friday morning and contacted police, according to a news release from the department.

The student, who officers identified as 18-year-old Jacob Clark, was arrested at his home. Officers recovered the firearm when Clark was arrested, according to a message sent to Rocklin High School parents about the incident.

“As with any matter pertaining to student safety we ask our RHS school community that if you ‘see something, hear something, then say something,’” the school’s administration said the message. “We encourage anyone with specific information regarding this incident to contact Rocklin Police Department or Rocklin High School administration.”

Officers booked Clark into the Placer County Jail on suspicion of having a firearm on campus. Jail records show he is being held on $25,000 bail.
