Woman who died after fall from pickup truck in south Sacramento identified by coroner

The coroner has identified the woman who died last week in an apparent fall from a moving pickup truck in south Sacramento.

The victim in the incident was Jenni Nguyen, 35, Sacramento County Coroner Kimberly Gin confirmed in an email.

Police responded to a local hospital on Nov. 25 after a woman succumbed to multiple injuries, the Sacramento Police Department said in a news release. Investigators believe the woman was injured “after falling out of a moving vehicle.”

Nguyen, a Sacramento resident, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police say the incident occurred the morning of Nov. 25, and involved a dark blue 2010 Toyota Tundra, which has since been recovered. The exact location where the woman may have fallen was not clear.
