Marysville police arrested a man Wednesday morning in connection with an October 2017 murder.

Detectives arrested Ruben Augustine Blajos, 26, in an Olivehurst neighborhood at 11:33 a.m. Wednesday, the Marysville Police Department said in a news release.

The arrest is related to the shooting death of Jesse Becerra on Oct. 28, 2017, in the 1300 block of Yuba Street in Marysville. Blajos faces charges of murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to the news release. He was booked into the Yuba County jail, inmate records show.

Becerra, 26, was shot multiple times, the police department said in 2017.

The homicide investigation remains active and the police department says it is not releasing any other details at this time.
