Victim in fatal McDonald’s drive-thru shooting identified by Sacramento coroner

The man who was shot and killed while at a McDonald’s drive-thru Friday in south Sacramento has been identified.

The Sacramento County coroner identified the victim as Nehemiah Barksdale, 28, of Sacramento.

The attack, described by the Sheriff’s Office as a targeted shooting, occurred around 1 a.m. at the McDonald’s at 4124 Florin Road, when Barksdale was shot in a vehicle at the fast-food restaurant.

He was taken to a hospital suffering from one gunshot wound in the upper body and was later pronounced dead.

The suspect in the shooting was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt, but remains at large and no motive has been determined by the Sheriff’s Office.
