El Dorado Hills man identified by coroner as victim in fatal Highway 50 crash in Folsom
The victim in Tuesday’s fatal traffic crash on Highway 50 in Folsom was identified by the Sacramento County coroner.
Todd James Kern, 38, of El Dorado Hills was killed on westbound Highway 50 near East Bidwell Street around 5:15 a.m. when the pickup truck he was driving hit a tree.
The truck crashed about 20 feet from the right-hand side of the road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
No other vehicles were involved and no other injuries were reported.
The coroner has classified the incident as a motor vehicle accident.
