Person of interest in fatal Orangevale crash found by CHP, cooperating with officers

A man wanted as a person of interest in connection with a fatal traffic crash in Orangevale was found by the California Highway Patrol on Tuesday.

In a news release, the East Sacramento-area CHP said Brandon Langsjoen met with investigators and fully cooperating after officers sought him out for information regarding Sunday’s crash.

CHP responded to a single-vehicle crash near Madison Avenue and Main Avenue around 1:30 a.m.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while three others were taken to hospitals for treatment. One occupant apparently fled, according to CHP.

CHP said no other persons of interest are outstanding, but the investigation into the fatal crash is still ongoing.
