Sacramento man charged with multiple child sex crimes captured in Mexico by FBI

A Sacramento man wanted for multiple child sex crimes was captured in Mexico on Wednesday and extradited back to the U.S., according to the FBI.

Jose Arturo Navarrete, Jr, 24, was charged with four counts of lewd acts with a child under 14, three counts of sex acts with a child 10 or younger and four counts of oral sex with a child 10 or younger back on June 14.

Another warrant was issued on Aug 22. after boarding a flight and fleeing the county and the state. A $5,000 reward was offered for information leading to his capture.

Navarrete will face prosecution in Sacramento, according to the release.
