Cops seek South Natomas armed robbery suspect who threatened employees, fled on bike

Police have released a surveillance photo of a suspect from a December armed robbery at a Sacramento business and are asking for the public’s help identifying the man.

The robbery happened around 9 p.m. Dec. 20 at a business in the 1600 block of West El Camino Avenue in South Natomas, the Sacramento Police Department said Monday in a news release.

The suspect allegedly stole merchandise and attempted to conceal it on his person; when confronted, he brandished a handgun and threatened employees, the news release said.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s with medium-length brown hair. The photo shows him wearing a red-and-black plaid hoodie, a baseball cap with the California bear on it, and jeans.

The Police Department says the suspect fled on a black bicycle eastbound, in the direction of Truxel Road.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to contact police dispatch at 916-264-5471 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at 916-443-4357.
