15-year-old teen arrested in connection with sexual assault in south Sacramento

A 15-year-old boy was arrested on Saturday in connection with a sexual assault that occurred Thursday afternoon in south Sacramento, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

The assault happened near an apartment complex in the 7800 block of Center Parkway south of Mack Road, when the attacker brandished a screwdriver and sexually assaulted the victim, police said. The teen’s identity has not been released and police said there was no evidence to suggest that the assault was related to any other incident.
