CHP looking for Sacramento-area suspects in road rage assault and robbery on I-5

The California Highway Patrol on Wednesday continued to look for three Sacramento-area residents suspected of assaulting and robbing a 60-year-old Stockton man shortly after a road rage incident last month in San Joaquin County.

The identified suspects are Taiwaun Batistie, 24, Kevin Edward Yates, 19, and Rodolfo “Brittany” Arriola, 19, a male who identifies as a female, according to the CHP. Officer John Harris, a spokesman for the CHP Valley Division, said Wednesday afternoon that the suspects had not been found.

A fourth suspect, Roxanne Garcia-Getz, 27, who also is from the Sacramento area, was arrested March 8 and booked at the San Joaquin County Jail.

The assault occurred Feb. 27 along the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 in Lathrop. CHP investigators have determined that the road rage incident led to the assault when the Stockton man confronted the others, who were traveling in two cars.

The CHP said the suspects assaulted the man until he was unconscious, before they stole his wallet and car keys and drove away. The suspects later used the man’s bank card, according to the CHP.

The injured man suffered serious head injuries and remains hospitalized.

The CHP has obtained arrest warrants for Batistie, Yates and Arriola on charges of battery with serious injury, robbery, criminal conspiracy and financial fraud.

Investigators ask that anyone with information on the whereabouts of the wanted suspects to call the CHP at 209-948-3790 or a local law enforcement agency.
