Jefferson Boulevard closed after cyclist is hit by vehicle, West Sacramento police say
A section of Jefferson Boulevard is closed after a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle on Sunday evening, according to the West Sacramento Police Department.
A Facebook post from the department said that a young cyclist was transported to a Sacramento hospital in critical condition. According to the post, the driver cooperated with police by remaining on the scene.
The road is closed in both directions between Gregory Avenue and Southport Parkway. Police say the area should be avoided as the roadway remains closed as the crash is investigated.
