Holistic practitioner accused of sexually assaulting client, Placer sheriff says
The Placer County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 53-year-old Elk Grove man who practiced holistic medicine in Granite Bay and is accused of sexually assaulting an unconscious client.
Sheriff’s investigators Tuesday sought any other alleged victims.
On April 2, Johnathan Darnell Butler was arrested on suspicion of unlawful sexual penetration with a victim unconscious of the act, according to an announcement Tuesday afternoon on the sheriff’s Facebook page.

Butler practiced holistic medicine at The Inner U, sheriff’s officials said. The business is in the 8700 block of Auburn Folsom Road in Granite Bay.
Officials said Butler claimed he has provided treatment to about 54,000 clients around the world since the late 1990s. They also said Butler has worked out of other locations, including Citrus Heights, Sacramento and Roseville, along with other locations outside of California.
The alleged victim in this case was a client at Butler’s Granite Bay business, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
On a website for the Inner U, Butler is described as the “Founding President of The Inner U Wholistic Center.” The website also indicated Butler has worked in Cleveland, Las Vegas, Atlanta and Michigan, and his formal studies and certification are in the areas of Iridology and whole food education. The website also has a section where people can schedule a consultation.
On Tuesday, Butler remained in custody at the Placer County Jail, and hi bail was set at $350,000, according to sheriff’s custody records.
