Police investigating homicide after man found stabbed to death in Sacramento

A man was found stabbed to death Monday morning near Sacramento’s Hagginwood neighborhood, police say.

Officers responded to the 2100 block of Catskill Way, where fire personnel arrived for reports of a suspicious death shortly after 5 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department said in a news release.

Police determined the victim, a man, had been stabbed.

Homicide detectives are in the early stages of investigation and no arrests have been made, but police do not believe there is an active threat to the community, according to the news release.

The victim’s identity will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office pending notification of family.
