Folsom police looking for teenage vandalism suspects who threw rocks at several homes

The Folsom Police Department is asking the public to help investigators find a group of kids who have been throwing rocks at homes, causing more than $3,000 in damage.

Several homes have been vandalized over the past few weeks, the Police Department announced on its Facebook page Friday afternoon. Police officials said the vandals appeared to be a group of teenagers.

Most recently, a group of six or seven vandals were captured on security camera video. But the suspects stayed in the middle of the street, too far from the camera to be identified, according to police.

The vandals are throwing rocks at windows and garage doors at these homes. Police officials said the vandalism has occurred in neighborhoods directly east and west of the Baldwin Dam Road corridor in Folsom.

Investigators believe the vandals have damaged these homes overnight or in the early morning, possibly 3 to 5 a.m.

Officials asked residents in these neighborhoods to tell police if they’ve seen a large group of kids hanging out together almost daily. They also asked neighbors to provide security camera video that might help identify this group of vandals.

The Police Department asked anyone with information about this vandalism to send an email to mcatanio@folsom.ca.us or call 916-461-6476.
