Sutter County deputies arrest Live Oak man accused of pointing shotgun at girlfriend
A Live Oak man faces four felony charges, including make a terrorist threat, after allegedly pointing a shotgun at his girlfriend and another person Saturday night.
Sutter County sheriff’s deputies said they received a call just before 9 p.m. to a home on the 2900 block of Kola Street, according to a news release Monday.
At the home, a woman and another person, whom deputies did not identify, said the man brandished a weapon during a domestic violence incident.
The man — later identified as Thomas Knottingham, 30 — then fled the home to a Yuba City residence, deputies said.
Deputies from Sutter and Yuba counties and the Yuba City Police Department located Knottingham inside a home on the 700 block of April Lane and arrested him without incident, deputies said.
Knottingham faces charges of domestic violence, brandishing a weapon, assault with a deadly weapon and terrorist threats, though deputies did not disclose what they were.
Knottingham was released on $50,000 bail and will be in court Aug. 10.
