Police arrest man suspected of burglary and exposing himself at Woodland apartments
Officers arrested a Davis man on burglary and indecent exposure charges in connection with incidents at a Woodland apartment complex that include breaking into a home and later exposing himself from the waist down, police said.
Jose Indalopez, 36, was booked at Yolo County Jail, the Woodland Police Department announced on its Facebook page.
The first incident was reported about 6 a.m. Tuesday at the apartment complex on Elliot Street. A resident called 911 to report an unknown man entered into his home.
Police said the residents woke up to the sound of the intruder coming into his home. The resident confronted the intruder and asked why he was there?
The suspect claimed he was “looking for his wife,” according to police. The intruder then left the apartment. The officers did not find the suspect.
About 9:40 a.m., officers were called again to the same apartment complex for a report of a man who “was only covered from the waist up pleasuring himself,” police said.
The suspect was gone when officers arrived, but a witness gave police a description and told the officer which way the suspect was headed when he left.
Police officials said the witness’ “great description and directions” led officers to find the suspect, later identified as Indalopez, behind the nearby La Superior market.
Indalopez was arrested after he “positively identified” as the suspect in both incidents, according to police.
